Hackettstown, N.J. – Marywood University extended its winning streak to six games with a 9-4 conquest over Centenary University Wednesday in Colonial States Athletic Conference women's lacrosse action. The Pacers (9-4, 6-1 CSAC) secured a spot in the conference playoffs.

Sam Bussinelli scored three goals and two assists for a team-best five points. Ashley Valway also provided a hat trick. Both Bussinelli and Valway totaled four ground balls.

Gwyneth Gleason tallied three goals and an assist to add to her team-high 16 helpers.

Natalie Burke scooped seven ground balls. Her two caused turnovers moved her within five of the school record. Molly Yelencsics continued her torrid defensive play with four caused turnovers and five ground balls.

Lauren Smith made two saves and allowed three goals to improve her standing in the CSAC record books. Smith lowered her goals-against average to 6.92, currently the fifth lowest in the conference record books.

Coach Katie Tutak earned her 25th CSAC win, moving her ahead of former coach Rob Brooks for sixth in conference history.

Marywood scored the first seven goals of the game within the first 15 minutes of the half. After the Cyclones' Abby Voelkner put her team's first points on the board, Marywood proceeded with five straight goals to set the running clock with 6:58 remaining before halftime.

Voelkner tallied all three of the Cyclones' goals. Kassidy Scheuring had each of the team's two assists. Renee Hack made 11 saves.

The Pacers quickly unpack their bags from Easter break to host Gwynedd Mercy University Tuesday in a rematch of last year's CSAC first round tilt.
