Women's Golf Ties Scranton in Match Play, 3-3

Moosic, Pa. - Christiane Lowcher, Tessa Briselden and Mariah Casey all earned victories as Marywood's women's golf team forged a 3-3 tie with The University of Scranton Monday afternoon at Glenmaura National Golf Club in Moosic.

Lowcher was a 4 & 3 winner over Scranton's Katie Allen.  The Royals got a win from Brianna Stein (2-up) over Serena Woody, but Breselden put the Pacers back up 2-1 in the match with a 4 & 3 win over Julie Cranney.  Scranton's Maggie McDonough defeated Kim Geary 6 & 5 and Maura McDonough won 3 & 1 over Sara Sterchak, but Maria Casey picked up another 4 & 3 win for Marywood over Kristen Davis to salvage the split.

Marywood will wrap up their season at the CSAC Invitational April 28-29 at Bellewood Golf & Country Club in North Coventry.
