Radnor, Pa. - After Cabrini University dominated the opening game 12-4 Marywood University rallied for a 10-9 win in the nightcap as the Pacers and Cavaliers split a CSAC softball twinbill Sunday afternoon outside Philadelphia.  Marywood improved to 3-10 overall and 3-2 in the CSAC with the split.

Cabrini (5-11, 3-1) took control early in the opener with a four-run first and three-run third as the Cavaliers built an early 7-0 lead.  Despite a three-run fourth and one-run fifth, Marywood could not compete the comeback as the hosts added four more runs in the bottom of the sixth.

Cabrini out-hit Marywood 15-8 and took advantage of five errors to get their third conference win of the year.

Sara Hayes was the lone Pacer with multiple hits as the rookie went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and RBI.

Kirstie Alvarez suffered the loss in the opener, allowing seven earned runs over a complete-game effort.

In a tale of two games, Marywood built an early 5-0 lead in the nightcap and then held off a late Cabrini rally for the 10-9 win.  Marywood scored critical runs in the fifth and sixth innings as the Cavaliers would not go quietly.

After being down 8-0 at the completion of the top of the fifth, Cabrini scored three runs in the fifth, sixth and seventh. It was a crucial two-run sixth that kept Marywood in the lead.

Kaitlyn Epler, Heather Schultz, Brooke Labs and Sarah Witte all had two hits in the win for Marywood. Labs had a game and season high four RBI in the game and had Marywood's first homer of the season.

Katie Siano picked up the win on the mound after allowing six earned runs.

Marywood will host Gwynedd Mercy Monday at 3:00 pm to continue a very busy week for the Pacers as they play five doubleheaders in a seven day span.
