King's Blanks Pacers in Men's Tennis Action

Wilkes-Barre, Pa. - Host King's College improved to 10-6 with a 9-0 win over Marywood University in non-conference men's tennis action Sunday afternoon at Kirby Park.  The Pacers fell to 2-9.

King's took two of three doubles matches by an 8-0 score. At number one doubles, Luke Whitenight and Nathan Carl defeated Ahmed AlOreif and Bryon Scholl, 8-2.

Carl defeated AlOreif 6-2, 6-3 in the tightest match of the day at number-one singles. Tyler Millen defeated Steven Price 6-0, 6-1 at number two while Scholl fell to Terry Briggs 6-4, 6-0 at number three.

Josh Mesaris 6-1, 6-0 win over Brendan O'Rourke gave the Monarchs another point.  John Shebby fell 6-0, 6-4 at number five and Momar Fall lost 6-0, 6-0 at number six.

Marywood closes their 2016-17 season Wednesday at home when they host Misericordia University at 3:30 pm.
