Marywood, Cedar Crest raised funds, awareness for breast cancer in support of Molly Newins Valway Becomes Ninth to Reach 100 Points Women's Lacrosse - 4/5/2017 8:21:00 PM Box Score Box Score Scranton, Pa. – Ashley Valway became the ninth member of Marywood University's 100 Point Club in the Pacers' 18-2 win over Cedar Crest College Wednesday in Colonial States Athletic Conference women's lacrosse action. Valway scored two goals to reach the century mark. Erin Healy led the Pacers with two goals and four assists for six points. Sam Bussinelli totaled two goals and an assist. Molly Yelenscics scored a pair of goals within a 46-second span for the first points of her collegiate career. Haley Risi and Michaela DiLorenzo each had their first goals of the year. Faith Grieshaber had her first career goal. Natalie Burke tallied a season-high seven draw controls to complement her two points and two ground balls. Gina Babcock had three draw controls. Lauren Smith made two saves for the win. Both Katrina Kelly and Gwyneth Gleason contributed a goal and two assists. Cedar Crest's goals were scored by Regina Gill and Lauren Felix. Ta-Tionnah Curtis made four saves. Valway and Healy scored the game's first two goals within the first 39 seconds. Marywood won its fourth straight game to improve to 7-4 on the year. The Pacers outshot the Falcons by a 28-4 margin. Marywood edged the Falcons 10-8 in ground balls and won the draw control battle handily by a 19-3 figure. The Pacers cleared all four of their chances and kept Cedar Crest to a 40 percent mark. Marywood travels to Immaculata University Saturday in a key CSAC battle. Print Friendly Version
