Aston, Pa. - Host Neumann University picked up a key CSAC men's tennis win over Marywood by defeating the Pacers, 5-4.  Neuman moved to 3-3 overall and 3-1 in the league while Marywood slipped to 2-6, 2-3 in league action after the Knights took the sixth singles match in three sets to edge out the win.

The loss sets up a key week for the Pacers as they will host Clarks Summit University (4-2 CSAC) and travel to Gwynedd Mercy (2-2 CSAC) in a fight for the fourth and final playoff berth.  Marywood will host the Defenders Wednesday before traveling to take on the Griffins Thursday.

Marywood won a tight number-one doubles match 9-7 as Ahmed Al-Oreif and Bryon Scholl pulled off the win.  The Pacers would drop their number-two doubles match 8-2 before falling 9-7 in another tight match at three-doubles.

In singles, Marywood picked up wins at one singles (Al-Oreif), three-singles (Scholl) and five-singles (John Shebby), but everything would come down to the match at six-singles with the teams tied, 4-4.

There, Billy Swontek edged Momar Fall in three sets, 7-5, 4-6, 6-2, to give the Knights the win.
