Scranton, Pa. - Visiting Immaculata University plated four runs over the opening two innings and added four more in the ninth as the Mighty Macs avenged their only league loss of the year with a 9-4 win over Marywood Sunday afternoon in CSAC baseball action.

Only three of Immaculata's nine runs were earned in the win. Mighty Mac pitchers struck out 14 Marywood batters and left 12 runners stranded.  Immaculata improved to 13-4 overall and 8-1 in the CSAC, with their only defeat coming to Marywood yesterday in a 13-4 win for the Pacers.  Marywood now stands at 7-12, 4-5 CSAC.

James Goetz went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored to lead Marywood offensively.  Goetz nearly homered early in the game but the ball bounced off the top of the fence straight down into the field, resulting in a double.

Mitch Clemons was 2-for-4 at the plate with an RBI while Matt Staback was 2-for-5 with a double and RBI.  Justin Haddix suffered the loss after allowing five runs, only three of which were earned, over seven innings of work. Haddix struck out five batters in falling to 2-3 on the year.

Marywood travels to Keystone Thursday for a doubleheader.
