Pacers Make It 20 Straight January Wins in CSAC Tilt

Scranton, Pa. - Marywood University won its 20th consecutive game in the month of January with a 63-47 victory over Cedar Crest College on Thursday in Colonial States Athletic Conference women's basketball action. The Pacers have been unblemished in the month since Jan. 31, 2015. 

Coach Tara Macciocco notched her 198th career victory. 

Gab Giordano led all Pacers with 16 points in just 19 minutes on the court. She made five of seven shots from the field and three 3-pointers. 

Aryah Aungst tallied 11 points for her third straight game in double figures. Lisa Steakin posted a team-best eight rebounds. Catie Nealon finished with eight points and seven rebounds. 

Marywood (7-8, 5-1 CSAC) made 40 percent of its shots for the game. The Pacers held the Falcons (2-11, 1-5 CSAC) to just 28.6 percent. Marywood made seven of 16 attempts from beyond the arc for 43.8 percent. 

Cedar Crest received a double-double from Sylera Weller with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Geminii Cabrera had 15 points. 

Marywood looks to keep its four-game winning streak alive Saturday when it travels to Immaculata University.
