Moravian Shuts Out Women's Soccer

Bethlehem, Pa. - Host Moravian College improved to 8-3-2 on the year with an impressive 6-0 win over Marywood University Tuesday evening in non-conference women's soccer action.

The Greyhounds got a hat-trick from Caitlyn Sugarman, who came off the bench and scored on three of her four shots.

Despite Sugarman's offensive outburst, Moravian actually got all the scoring the would need in the 21st minute as Alexa Brown tallied her second of the year.  Brown took a feed in the center of the field and drove a ball to the far post past a diving Aly Moyer for what would turn out to be the game-winner.

The score would remain 1-0 until the 39th minute when Sugarman started her production.  She take a feed from Morgan Covart and go in on a short breakaway before being Moyer to double the Greyhounds' lead.

In the second half, Moravian scored on a deep cross just over a minute into the half and added back-to-back goals from Sugarman before Ooonah Breen closed the scoring with just 1:01 left on the game clock.

Moravian had a 34-9 (17-5 on goal) shots advantage and took seven corners to one for Marywood (6-8).

Siobhan O'Sullivan made five saves for the hosts in the shutout win while Moyer (six saves) and Bella DiToma (five) each played a half for the Pacers.

Marywood returns to Atlantic Eat Conference action Saturday when they host Marymount University at 1:00 pm. Prior to the game, Marywood will honor its seven graduating seniors.
