Healy Reaches 100 Point Club in Pacers' Romp over Golden Wolves

Reading, Pa. – Senior forward Erin Healy became the 10th student-athlete in Marywood University women's lacrosse history to reach the 100 Point Club. She helped lead the Pacers to a 19-4 victory over Alvernia University on Saturday to open the 2018 season.
 
Healy finished with five goals and an assist. After being hampered by injury in the second half of last season, Healy reached the career milestone with her lone assist on a Gina Babcock with 28 minutes left in regulation. She has 67 goals and 34 assists for 101 points.
 
Marywood scored 10 consecutive goals over a 28-minute span to break open a 4-2 game in the early minutes. After Healy had two of the Pacers' three tallies in the opening 4:13, the Golden Wolves responded with a pair of goals from Tequila Donnelly to make it 4-2 with 22:47 left in the first period.
 
Sam Bussinelli led the Pacers with five goals and three assists for eight points. Both Bussinelli and Healy combined to score the first seven Marywood goals in the first 14 minutes.
 
Gwyneth Gleason finished with a hat trick, six draw controls and three caused turnovers for the Pacers. Caitlin Watson matched her in points with two goals and an assist. Katrina Kelly and Zoe Simeone totaled a goal and an assist.
 
Gina Babcock secured a team-best four ground balls.
 
Mallory Perry made her career debut with two saved in 35:09.
 
Marywood stays on the road to face Misericordia University on Thursday at 4:00 pm.
