Pacers' Season Ends at the Hands of NYU in ECAC First Round

Scranton, Pa. – The Marywood University women's basketball season came to a close with a 100-64 loss to New York University Wednesday in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) first round. The Violets will face Lebanon Valley College in the quarterfinals at Washington & Jefferson

New York University made 75 percent of its first half attempts and 92.9 percent of its second quarter shots en route to a 59-23 lead at halftime.

Erika Bistran finished with a team-high 20 points. Gab Giordano produced 12 points. Sam Bruno played well defensively with three blocks and three steals.

The Violets (16-10) had a 24-point performance from Kayla Patterson. Kaitlyn Read registered 19 points and 11 assists. Catherine Gould finished with 13 points.

NYU outscored the Pacers 52-20 in the paint and shot 54.9 percent from the field. Marywood made 36.8 percent of its attempts.
