Women's Golf Captures Big Win Over University of Scranton

Match Results

Moosic, Pa. – Marywood's women's golf beat The University of Scranton today in a match play event held at Glenmaura National Country Club in Moosic. The Pacers topped the Royals 5-0.

Christiane Lowcher faced a close match up against Scranton's Katie Allen. Lowcher overcame Allen 6&5, while Tessa Briselden won 3&2 for Marywood over Brianna Stein. Mariah Casey also faced a tight match against Scranton's Maura McDonough. Casey came out on top 5&4.

The Pacers saw two more victories by Sara Sterchak and Brianna Baker. Sterchack beat Maggie McDonough 2&1 and Baker finished 1 up over Julia Cranney.

The Pacers will face the Royals again this weekend on Saturday at the Scranton Municipal Golf Course, this time in a stroke play event.
