Women's Golf Defeats Scranton, 3-2

Match Results

Mount Cobb, Pa. - Marywood University's women's golf team defeated the University of Scranton 3-2 in match play Saturday afternoon at Scranton Municipal Golf Course in Mount Cobb. The Pacers close the regular season with an 8-2 overall mark, including five dual match wins over the Royals.

Christiane Lowcher (5&4 over Brianna Stein) and Brianna Baker (2&1 over Julie Cranney) earned wins for the Pacers. Tessa Briselden and Sara Sterchak halved with Maura McDonough and Catherine Shin, respectively, while Scranton's Maggie McDonough defeated Kimberly Geary (6&4).

Marywood will return to the course April 28 for day one of the Landmark Championships. The Championships will be played at Susquehanna Valley Country Club in Selinsgrove April 28 and 29.
