Men's Tennis Opens at King's Inviational

Invitational Results

Wilkes-Barre, Pa. - Five members of the men's tennis team opened their 2018-19 campaign by participating in the King's College Fall Invitational this past weekend at Kirby Park outside Wilkes-Barre.  There was no team scoring for the event.

Unfortunately for Marywood, only one point was earned in their five singles matches or two doubles matches.  In the top singles flight quarterfinal round, Tyler Millen of King's blanked Naitik Butani 6-0, 6-1. Butani would pick up Marywood's lone point of the day, as Jarrod Palmer fell in the two-singles flight 6-0, 6-0 to Jorey Ferraro of DeSales, Momar Fall was defeated by Scranton's Charles Swope by an identical 6-0, 6-0 score, as was Joey Burridge in the five-singles flight.

Marywood is slated to open dual-match competition Thursday at Lycoming.
