Scranton, Pa. – Marywood University's men's basketball team took sole possession of first place in the Atlantic East Conference after the Pacers' 94-87 win over Cabrini Wednesday evening.

Trailing by three, 49-46 at the break, Marywood opened the second half on a dominating 15-3 run to take a nine-point, 61-52 with 14:11 to go.

After a quick Cabrini layup, Marywood hit three and Jaden Rhoden finished off a Marywood steal to extend that run to 20-5, giving the Pacers a 66-54 lead.

Marywood hovered around a nine-point lead from the 10 minute mark all the way until three minutes remaining, when they exploded for on a 7-0 run thanks to four straight points from Jack DeGroot and a three from Jeremy Ringland to put the Pacers up 92-76.  Despite Cabrini closing on a 11-2 run over the final two and a half minutes, Marywood comfortably maintained their lead and won by seven.

Jaden Rhoden, the reigning Atlantic East Conference Defensive Player of the Week, went off for 21 points and nearly completed his third straight double-double after collecting nine boards.  Rhoden lead five Pacer in double-digits.

Ringland finished with 19 while Thomas Swartz had 15.  DeGroot finished with 12 and Donovan Catchings added 10 for the Pacers.
