Pacers Lose to King's in Season Opener

Wilkes-Barre, Pa. – Marywood University women's swimming and diving lost to Kings College in their season opener, 201-59.

Andrea Pannoni rallied in the second leg of the 100 breast to beat Amina Zaidi. Pannoni touched in at 1:17.74 just a head of Zaidi's 1:18.03. Freshman Gabby Cholish was less than a second behind King's Kaelyn Gardner in the 50 fly. Cholish finished with a 29.65 to Gardner's 28.23. Cholish also came in second in the 50 back touching in at 31.03.

Other top finishers for the Pacers were Christine Llewellyn coming in second in the 1,000 free. Llewellyn finished strong to clock in at 12:14.47. Llewellyn took second in the 100 free ahead her teammate Mackenzie Blithe. Blithe finished with a 1:09.951 and Llewelyn touched in at 59.98.

Marywood will host the University of Scranton on October 20^th at 1:00pm.
