Marywood Outed by Scranton in Dual Meet

Scranton, Pa. – Marywood University fell to the University of Scranton in their nonconference meet 148-71.

Marywood's Christine Llewellyn and Andrea Pannoni took first and second respectively in the 1,000 free. Llewellyn finished in 12:18.52 just a head of Pannoni who touched in at 12:25.72. Llewellyn was neck and neck with Scranton's Jenna Harper in the 500 free. Harper's strong finish help her take first just seconds ahead of Llewellyn's 5:58.43. Shannon Wheeler took third for the Pacers in the 500 free (6:43.36). Wheeler and Llewelyln finished in second in the 400 free relay with teammates Becca Rottger and Tyra Lee (4:28.26).

Other top swimmers for the Pacers were Hannah Darmofal. Darmofal placed second in the 100 free behind Scranton's Amber Diehl. Pannoni and Lee finished second and third respectively in the 500 free. Lee was just seconds behind her teammate touching in at 1:14.90 and Pannoni finished in 1:12.85.

In diving Bri Koehnke took the top spot for the Pacers with a score of 203.50. Koehnke was almost twenty points ahead of the field with Scranton's Mackenzie Morret came in second with a score of 188.50.

Marywood will compete in the Cortland Pumpkin Relays on Saturday October 26^th at 1:00 pm.
