Women's Tennis Shuts Out Hartwick, 9-0

Oneonta, N.Y. – Marywood University women's tennis shut out Hartwick College 9-0 on Saturday. Marywood improves to 2-0 as Hartwick falls to 1-9.

Marywood's duo of Danielle Ogonowski and Allison Bashore beat Victoria Wilson and Skylar Watts 8-4 in the first match of doubles. In the second set of doubles, Abygail Doud and Deena Haroun Mahdavi downed Hartwick's Hannah Pettis and Jessica Best by an 8-4 score. Brooke Panek and Lyndsey Medric bested Mckensie Rider and Alyssa Wadsworth, 8-6.

In singles, Ogonowski got the best of Wilson again, beating her 6-4, 6-0. Doud faced Watts in the second set of doubles. Watts almost go the upper hand in the first set but Doud was able to come back to win 6-4 and then won the set second set 6-2. Kayla Flyte swept Taylor D'Andrea 6-0, 6-0.

Marywood will host SUNY Broome on Tuesday in its final match of the fall.
