Marywood Tops Wilkes 103-91

Meet Results

Scranton, Pa. – Marywood University's women's swimming and diving team won their first meet of the year, downing Wilkes 103-91.

Marywood's Christine Llewellyn took the top spot in the 200 free touching in at 2:10.64. Llewellyn then came in first in the 500 free (5:58.50) over 10 second faster than Wilkes' Maddy Kinard (6:10.31). Llewellyn also swam the first leg on the 400 medley relay to for the Pacers. Llewellyn and her team of Maia Clasby, Gabrielle Cholish, and Hannah Darmofal took first (4:26.48).

Cholish took first in the 200 fly (2:35.96) just seconds ahead Wilkes' Deanna Wadzin. Cholish also came in first in the 50 free (27.06) finishing less than a second ahead of Tricia Bartosh. Clasby completed the 200 breast in 2:39.05, over 10 seconds ahead of Kyleigh Smeltzer who took second.

The Pacers (1-2) next meet will be their inaugural Atlantic East Conference tri-meet as they host Immaculata University and Marymount University on Saturday September 16^th at 1:00 pm.
