Men's Tennis Downed by Gwynedd Mercy

Gwynedd Valley, Pa. – Marywood University's men's tennis team was shut out by Gwynedd Mercy University 9-0 Tuesday in Atlantic East Conference action. The Pacers fall to 0-8 overall, 0-2 conference in the Atlantic East, as the Griffin's improve to 3-5 overall, 2-1 Atlantic East.

Marywood's Momar Fall fell to Max Schneider 6-0 in the first set of No. 1 singles but gave Schneider a challenge in the second set with a 7-5 decision. Josh Reimel shutout Rohan Patel 6-0 in both sets for the Griffins. Jarrod Palmer lost 6-1, 6-0 against Brian Irwin in No. 3 singles.
 
In doubles, Schneider and Irwin beat the Pacers' team of Fall and Palmer 8-1. The Griffins took the No. 2 and 3 doubles by default.
 
The Pacers look to change their luck when they host Immaculata University on April 24.
