Men's Tennis Slips to Lycoming, 8-1

Scranton, Pa. – Marywood University men's tennis lost 8-1 in a nonconference match up against Lycoming College on Wednesday. The Pacers fall to 0-2 this fall as the Warriors improve to 2-3.

Marywood's Eddie McGreevy picked up the sole point for the Pacers, beating Nate Redell 4-0. Redell had to retire due medical reasons. Brendan O'Rourke faced Lycoming's Cody Greenaway in the second set. O'Rourke lost both sets 6-3. Spencer Pedersen defeated Joey Burridge of Marywood (6-2, 6-2).

McGreavy and O'Rourke teamed up in the first set of doubles to face Redell and Greenaway. Redell and Greenaway won 8-4.  Freshman Max Burke and Jarrod Palmer faced Lycoming's Casey Haas and Frank Summerson in hard fought match. Haas and Summerson managed to overcome the Pacer duo 8-4.

The Pacers will be back in action on Saturday October 5th as they travel to Moravian College in a nonconference match up. Match is set to start at 1:00 pm.
