Pacers Falter to Cavaliers, 81-54

Scranton, Pa. – Marywood University fell to first-place Cabrini University 81-54 Wednesday in Atlantic East Conference women's basketball action. The Pacers slip to 4-10 overall and 1-3 in conference play.

Savannah Purdy posted her second straight game in double figures with 10 points. Katie Wolfgang and Aryah Aungst each finished with nine points and seven rebounds. Cait Reilly also supplied nine points off of the bench.

Cabrini had five players in double figures. Kate Lannon led the Cavaliers with 14 points. Meghan Matthew had an all-around game with 13 points, eight assists, seven rebounds and three steals.

Both Miranda Liebtag and Hannah Fenstermacher totaled 11 points in limited action. Ashley Tutzhauer had 10 points.

The Cavaliers shot 44.6 percent from the field and held Marywood to 31.7 percent.

Marywood welcomes another team at the top of the Atlantic East standings when it welcomes Marymount University on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
