Cougars Overpower Pacers in Women's Swimming & Diving

Scranton, Pa. - Misericordia University overpowered Marywood University 113-30 in women's swimming and diving action Friday evening. The loss dropped the Pacers to 3-3 on the year.

Brianna Koehnke scored a 392.80 on the 1-meter dive but was unopposed. Christine Llewellyn won the 1000 free in a time of 12:06.77, over a minute ahead of teammate Mackenzie Blithe (13:06.60) as the Pacers took first and second in the event. Llewellyn would later win the 500 free in a time of 5:47.44, edging Misericordia's Victoria Wrobleski by just over a second.

Hannah Darmofal finished second in the 200 free with a time of 2:14.08 while Gabrielle Cholish finished third in the 50 free (27.35) for the Pacers. Maia Clasby would finish second in the 400 IM in a time of 5:16.08 while Cholish would again be runner up in the 200 butterfly (2:37.89). Claby also took third in the 200 breaststroke (2:40.82).

Andrea Pannoni (2:31.63), Tyra Lee (2:39.85) and Becca Rottger (2:48.39) finished second through fourth, respectively, in the 200 backstroke for Marywood.

Marywood will host Cabrini in their final regular season Atlantic East Conference match Saturday. The meet will get underway at 1:00 pm.
