Women's Tennis Closes Fall with Shutout Win

Williamsport, Pa. - Marywood University's women's tennis team closed their fall season with a 9-0 road win at Penn College Saturday afternoon in Williamsport.

The Pacers improved to 2-4. The Wildcats fell to 1-5 with the loss.

Allison Bashore and Gabriella Nowak picked up a 8-1 win at the top doubles flight, and were followed by an 8-1 win from Faith Kendricks and Elsa Kovatch at #2 doubles. Kayla Flyte and partner Lyndsey Medric earned an 8-0 win at #3 doubles.

In singles action, Bashore edged Mary Kathryn Hillman 7-5, 7-5 in the tightest match of the day at one-singles. 

Marywood will resume their season starting Sunday, April 23, 2022 when they host Immaculata University in Atlantic East Conference action at 1:00 pm.
