Women's Tennis Blanks Cabrini, 9-0

Scranton, Pa. - Marywood University's women's tennis team evened their Atlantic East conference record at 1-1 on the year with a 9-0 shutout win over Cabrini on senior day.  The Pacers improved to 2-1 on the year while the Cavaliers remain winless at 0-2 (0-2 Atlantic East).

Deena Haroun Mahdavi and Lyndsey Medric won at one-doubles 8-0, and Caroline Cadden and Faith Kendricks knocked off their opponents 8-1 at two-doubles. Cabrini would forfeit three doubles.

In singles, Cadden was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at one singles ove Raechel Aviles, while Medric won by an identical score at four singles over Miranda Smith.  Kendricks earned a 6-3, 6-0 win at three singles and Mahdavi was a 6-1, 6-1 winner at two singles.  The Cavaliers forfeited matches at five and six singles.

The Pacers return to the court Wednesday when they host Neumann at 4:00 pm.
