Four Point Day from Lloyd Lifts Men's Soccer Over Cairn, 4-1

Scranton, Pa. - Zac Lloyd had a goal and two assists and Aram Aghababian had two goals to propel Marywood University men's soccer to a 4-1 win over Cairn University in the Pacers only official game of the 2020-21 season.

Marywood honored seniors Lloyd, Jon Dinnell, Giovanni Amato and Brian Deane to the game.

Lloyd opened the scoring for the Pacers 4:40 into Saturday's contest when he finished a slot pass from Dinnell. Twenty four minutes later, Aghababian found the back of the net to double up the Pacers lead on a helper from Lloyd. 

Entering the second half with a 2-0 lead, Marywood gave up a quick goal just 47 seconds into the second half as Cairn's Cole Foster finished a long throw-in from Josh Goodyear and finished to the lower far left corner from eight yards out.

Marywood got an insurance goal in the 64th minute as Aghababian netted his second goal of the day as he back-heeled a cross from Lloyd into the net.

Jordan Pattavina-Arroyo closed the scoring on a breakaway in the 87th minute as he put away a feed from Hunter Iverson, slotting the keeper from seven yards out.

Marywood outshot Cairn 14-12 and had an 8-6 advantage in shots on goal. Alex Russo made five saves in 82:33 of action between the pipes. Darren Hyde closed the match in goal for the Pacers.
