Marywood Serves Up Opening-Day Win over Bryn Mawr

Marywood opens season with a win for the first time since 2014

Box Score Scranton, Pa. - Marywood University opened its volleyball season with an opening day win for the first time in seven seasons on Wednesday evening. The Pacers walked away with a three-set victory by scores of 25-13, 25-12, 25-16.

Shannon Corr started her Marywood career with a team-best seven kills with a .235 attack percentage. Rebecca Klemovitch matched her with seven kills and a .316 hitting percentage. Both had four digs.

Sara Burgos returned to the court with 27 assists and nine digs. Donna Bostjancic garnered 11 digs in her libero debut.

Mikayla Meek and Casey Hagerstrom posted three aces apiece.

Bryn Mawr received six kills from Nicole Wood and Zoe Boxill.

Marywood benefited from the service game, finishing with a 11-4 advantage in service aces. Marywood's defense had 56 digs to the Owls' 48.

The Pacers return to action Thursday with their first road trip to SUNY Delhi.
