Women's Tennis Blanks Juniata to Level Record

Scranton, Pa. - Marywood University women's tennis shutout visiting Juniata College 9-0 to level their record at 1-1 on the young season.

After a tight 8-5 win from Allison Bashore and Gabriella Nowak at the top doubles flight, the Pacers cruised to 8-2 and 8-1 wins by Faith Kendricks and Lyndsey Medric as well as Elsa Kovatch and Karah Laboranti at two-and-three doubles, respectively.

In singles action, Bashore picked up a 6-4, 6-3 win over Kady Lohr at one-singles, while Caroline Cadden won 6-0, 6-2 at two-singles.

Nowak earned a 6-2, 6-0 decision over Mia Kazakavage at three-singles while Kendricks was a 6-0, 6-0 winner over Courtney Eller at four-singles.

Rounding out the win for the Pacers, Medrick blanked Olivia Day 6-0, 6-0 at five-singles and Kayla Flyte won by default at six-singles.

Marywood hosts Cairn University Monday, September 27 at 3:00 pm.
