Women's Cross Country Returns at Misericordia

Pacers finish fourth out of six Northeast and Central Pennsylvania teams

Dallas Twp., Pa. - Marywood University women's cross country competed for the first time in nearly two years with a fourth place finish Friday at the Misericordia Invitational. It was the collegiate cross country debut for all but one of the Pacers' competing runners.

Marywood finished with 102 points with an average time of 17:21 on the 4K course. The Pacers were ahead of Wilkes University and Lycoming College. The host Cougars won the race.

Katie Shea finished in 12th place as the Pacers' top finisher and lone returner. Shea clocked in with a time of 16:26. She averaged a 6:36.7 pace.

Freshman Alanna Ranck was just behind in 16th place. Ranck completed the course in 16:36.

Hayley Gaines came in 33rd place at 17:21. Taylor Seprosky crossed the finish in 17:59.6 for 40th. Alyssa Williams registered an 18:22 finish. Reanna Birch logged a 19:02 and Caitlyn Powell recorded a 20:13 to round out the Pacers' scorers.

Other competitors for the Pacers include Maria Castaldi (20:42).

Marywood lace up again Saturday, Sept. 11 at Lebanon Valley College.
