Early Scoring Pits Pacers in Arlington

Danny Gomez scores third of the season

Arlington, Va. – All five goals came in the opening 21 minutes in Marywood University's 4-1 loss to Marymount University Saturday in Atlantic East Conference men's soccer action.
 
Leonardo Torres finishes with a hat trick. He added an assist to have a leg in all four Saints' goals.
 
Derek Rivera had a pair of assists. Matthew Correa also had a goal.
 
Danny Gomez scored the Pacers' lone goal of the match. Mason Guelho factored in with an assist.
 
Torres scored in the 10th and 14th minutes to take an early lead. After Correa found the net in the 19th minute, Torres finished his hat trick 18 seconds later.
 
Marymount (8-6, 2-1) outshot Marywood by a 25-3 margin and 8-2 on goal. They had a 11-1 advantage in corners.
 
Both teams stood scoreless for the last 69 minutes.
 
Marywood (7-7, 2-2) had three saves from Alex Russo.
 
The Pacers travel to Immaculata University on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
