Field Hockey Eliminated by Cabrini 3-1 in Atlantic East Semi

Lauren Youngken scores lone goal off Corrin Hasty assist

Radnor Twp., Pa. – Third-seeded Marywood University were eliminated from the Atlantic East Conference field hockey playoffs with a 3-1 loss to Cabrini University on Wednesday. The Pacers finish the season with a 6-12 record. 

Lauren Youngken scored the Pacers' lone goal of the season. Corrin Hasty registered an assist. 

Rachel Yohn collected 14 saves for Marywood. 

The Cavaliers broke a 1-1 tie at halftime with a pair of Adrianna Jones unassisted goals. She had both goals off of saves in a two-minute span to start the third quarter. 

Youngken evened the score at one apiece as the halftime whistle blared. Hasty assisted the goal off of a penalty corner. 

Cabrini took the lead for the first time in the 28th minute. Caroline Gallagher drove the length of the field to score. 

Klaira Bievenour notched a pair of defensive saves to move into the top spot in the conference. 

Cabrini will take on top-seeded St. Mary's College of Maryland. The Seahawks defeated Immaculata University 4-0 in the other semi. 

The Cavaliers had a 25-12 advantage in shots. Marywood edged Cabrini 12-10 in penalty corners.
