Sexius-Clerie Reaches Record Book in Long Jump

Reading, Pa. — Marywood University sent half of its track and field team to the Plex Shootout at Alvernia University on Saturday. The Pacers were set to compete at The Armory in New York City, but inclement weather prevented Marywood from attendance.

Rasheed Sexius-Clerie was the lone Pacer to crack the record books. Sexius-Clerie recorded the fifth-best long jump in school history. He measured at 18 feet, 7 ¼ inches for 19th place overall.

In the 60 hurdles, Christian Scotti reached finals and finished in sixth place overall in 9.43 seconds.

Ricky Stains III broke his PR by 18 seconds in the 5K. He finished the 5K in 18:11 for 21^st place. Likewise, Thomas O'Keefe took off two seconds off his PR to place 23rd with a time of 19:51.39

Ryan Mathews established a new PR in the weight throw. Mathews out-threw his previous mark by more than a foot with a distance of 34 feet, 4 inches (10.46m) for 14^th place.

On the woman's side, Rosalyn Page placed 11^th with a shot put measurement of 34-8.25 (10.57m).
