Women's Basketball Falls to Marymount on Road

Arlington, Va. – Marywood University fell to first-place Marymount University 70-54 on Saturday in Atlantic East Conference women's basketball action. The Pacers fall to 7-10 overall and 2-5 in conference play.
 
Olivia Ciullo tied for a team-high with 14 points. Savannah Purdy continued her run of 15 consecutive games in double figures with a 10-point effort.
 
Abbey McGee had an all-around performance with 14 points, seven rebounds and three blocks.
 
Marymount was led by Chandler Eddleton's 22 points. Symantha Shackelford made all 10 free throw attempts in a 16-point, five-assist performance. Terra Dzambo had a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds.
 
The Saints out-rebounded the Pacers by a 34-26 margin.
 
Marymount opened the game by scoring the first 12 points The Saints' lead grew to 22-6 when Chandler Eddleton made a layup. The Pacers cut their deficit to two possessions with three minutes left in the half. Stephanie Klemick stole the ball and made a jumper to cut Marymount's advantage to 28-22.
 
Marywood heads to the road on Wednesday to take on Neumann University.
