Radnor, Pa. - Marywood University men's tennis leveled their conference record at 1-1 after an 8-1 win at Cabrini Saturday. The Pacers are now 2-5 overall and .500 (1-1) in the Atlantic East.

Saturday's victory over the Cavaliers (0-5. 0-1 AEC) is the Pacers' second in a row after losing the previous five matches to Cabrini dating back to th 2017 season. Prior to that year, the Pacers won eight of nine matches dating back to 2008.

Marywood swept doubles action Saturday as Eddie McGreevy and Stefano Varela-Seri won 8-2 in the number one flight. David Chemidlin and James Cawley were 8-3 winners at two-doubles, while Max Burke and newcomer Trey Watson were 8-0 victors at three-doubles.

In singles action, Marywood won at one, three, four, five and six singles. Varela-Seri dropped a three-set, 3-6, 6-3, 5-10 decision at two singes.

McGreevy was a 6-4, 6-2 victor in the top singles flight. Chemedlin handled his three-singles opponent 6-3, 8-6 (7-4). Cawley cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 win at four singles.

At five singles, Burke defeated Trung Trang 5-7, 6-4, 10-2, and Watson's debut was successful in singles play as well as the sophomore picked up a 6-1, 6-0 win at six singles.

Marywood is back on the courts Wednesday when they host Neumann at 3:30 pm.
