Pacers Break Four Records at Swarthmore, AARTFCs

Noah Zeigler sets both sprints records

Bethlehem, Pa. - Marywood University set four men's track and field records at the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Championships (AARTFC) and Swarthmore Last Chance Invitationals this week.

The Pacers finished in 41st place at regionals.

Noah Zeigler broke both the 100 and 200 dash records. He finished 18th at regionals with a 10.99-second finish. At Swarthmore, he edged Jefferson Fontaine's record by two-hundredths of a second to finish the race in 22.56 seconds. Zeigler came in second place.

The Pacers' 4x800 relay broke the school record by more than a minute. The foursome of Mike Kelly, Thomas Lee, Nate Skrutski and Jack Baronski finished in 7:59.55 to take seventh place for the team's lone regional point.

Marywood set a new 4x100 relay record at Swarthmore. Noah Zeigler, George Thompson, Ryan Benedict and Noah Schock crossed the finish in 43.15 seconds for fifth place.

At regionals, Jack Baronski ran the second-fastest time in Marywood history in the 1,500. Baronski completed the race in 3:57.63 for 12th place.

Benedict was 10th place in the 400 hurdles in a time of 57.28 seconds at Swarthmore. His time ranked No. 2 at Marywood.

Thompson was runner-up in the 110 hurdles in 15.31 seconds at Swarthmore.

In the throwing events at Swarthmore, Will Kalinich measured a throw of 149 feet, 4 inches (45.51m) for fifth place. Ryan Mathews was sixth place in the discus at 113 feet, 2 inches (34.5m).
