25th-Ranked F&M Blanks Women's Soccer

Lancaster, Pa. - Franklin and Marshall College, who this week entered the Top-25 in the United Soccer Coaches poll, blanked Marywood University 7-0 in non-conference women's soccer action Tuesday night.

It's the Pacers' second loss to a nationally ranked team this season (Scranton). F&M scored three first half goals en route to the shutout win. The Diplomats entered the season "receiving votes" but made the national rankings in the #25 spot Tuesday morning.

Marywood's three losses on the season have been to regionally ranked foes Scranton (7th), Swarthmore (5th) and F&M (3rd).

The Pacers were outshot 34-6 (19-4 on goal). Mila Elash made 12 saves in goal in her first collegiate start. Caroline Walters led the Pacers with three shots on goal.

Marywood hosts FDU-Florham Saturday at 1:00 pm.
