Women's Tennis Falls to Scranton, 6-3

Scranton, Pa. - The Marywood University women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision to crosstown rival The University of Scranton Wednesday afternoon. The Pacers fall to 0-2 while the Lady Royals improved to 1-2.

Marywood took one point in doubles action as Faith Kendricks and partner Elsa Kovatch defeated Bridget O'Mara and Taralyn Reilly 8-7 (8-6) at #2 doubles. Allison Bashore and Gabriella Nowak fell in a tight match in the top doubles flight, 8-6. 

In singles play, Marywood got points from Kendricks at #3 singles (6-4, 6-4 over Reilly) and from Gianna Snell at #5 (0-6, 6-3, 1-0 [10-5]). 

Marywood is back in action Saturday when they travel to Allentown to take on Muhlenberg College.
