Franceski Opens Season at Glenmaura

Moosic, Pa. — Marywood University freshman Maddie Franceski opened her collegiate career at the Glenmaura National Golf Club on Wednesday. Franceski competed against Landmark Conference teams University of Scranton and Susquehanna University.

Franceski shot a 114. She was 43-over on the Par 71, 6,339 yard course.

Scranton's Victoria Dowling was the medalist with an 86 (+15), beating Susquehanna's Davis Ann Boyd and Scranton's Madalyne Buhler and Kate Pagano by a stroke.

Marywood will compete against Lock Haven University and Mount Saint Mary (N.Y.) on Sept. 29 at Stone Hedge Golf Course in Tunkhannock.
