PRs Aplenty for Pacers at Lock Haven

Maria Castaldi takes 2:52 off of her personal record

Lock Haven, Pa. — The Marywood University women's cross country team set four PRs at the Lock Haven University Invitational on Saturday. The Pacers ran their first 6K of the season at the location of this year's NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional.

Marywood finished in 22nd out of 34 teams in the Crimson race standings. The Pacers averaged a 24:20 time and totaled 598 points.

Hayley Gaines was the Pacers' top finisher in 98th place. Gaines ran a 23:51 race to drop 1:11 off her previous best.

Kaitlyn Newberry ran a 24:12 to take 127th in her first 6K. Paige Redman was the Pacers' third finisher at 24:24.

Alyssa Williams recorded a 1:14 drop off of her previous best. Williams finished in 24:32. Molly Repecki completed the course in 24:42.

Adding to the Pacers' scorers was Taylor Seprosky in 25:16. Gabby Snee ran her career 6K in 26:08.

Just behind Snee was Caitlyn Powell with a 1:54 slash off of her personal record. Powell came in at 26:10.

In the white race, Maria Castaldi earned the biggest drop by running 2:52 faster than her previous best. Castaldi clocked in at 27:07 for 71st place. Maddie Gentile was five seconds behind for 73^rd place.

Also competing for the Pacers were Saige Sterner (29:05) and Zoe Badner (29:09).

Marywood is idle until its regular season finale on Saturday, Oct. 15 at Rowan University.
