Pair of Ducks Goals Down Pacers in Fourth Quarter

Poughkeepsie, N.Y. — Marywood University held Stevens College scoreless for 49 minutes before eventually falling 2-0 in the Betty Richey Tournament consolation game at Vassar College. 

The Ducks ended the draw with a goal in the 50th minute. Lynda Farinella scored on an Emilia Lopes assisted effort. 

Five minutes later, Farinella assisted Gabi Moroney for an insurance goal. 

The Pacers' Rachel Yohn finished with six saves. Klaira Bievenour and Corrin Hasty each had a defensive save. 

Amanda Leeland tallied the Pacers' lone shot on goal. 

Stevens outshot the Pacers 22-1 with a 10-1 margin on target. The Ducks had 16 penalty corners to Marywood's two. 

Marywood (0-3) looks to get into the win column Friday in its home opener versus King's College on Friday at 7 p.m.
