Marywood's bench proved to be a difference-maker, outscoring the Knights by a 40-17 margin.

The Pacers held onto an early lead until a 10-point Mount St. Mary run resulted in a scoring change before halftime. Trailing 36-27, Figueroa started the rally and capped it with a layup to go ahead 37-36 with 35 seconds remaining in the half.

It extended into a 13-point run when Graham opened the second half with a 3-pointer to take a 40-36 lead. Bivins tied the game with a layup from Cole Johnson to make it 46-46 with 16:40 left, and Seitz gave the Pacers a lead with a 3-pointer on the next possession.

The two teams traded leads several times until Bivins put back an offensive rebound to go on top 60-58 at the 11:13 mark. It started a seven-point run.

Mount St. Mary's near-heroic run came near seconds after facing its largest deficit of the game. Reed made a fast break with 48 seconds lead for a 85-75 advantage. Figueroa ran down the course to hit an immediate 3-pointer. Following an offensive foul, Connor Cyran put back a shot to trim the Pacers' lead in half in a matter of eight seconds. A missed layup yielded a Graham layup that made it a one-possession game with 10 seconds remaining. Franko completed both ends of a trip to the charity strip, and Graham again connected on a long ball to move within two (87-85) with five seconds left.

Reed made two free throws with five seconds remaining to secure the win.
