Pacers Soar to Second Straight Victory

Klemick posts a season-high 21 points

Scranton, Pa. - Marywood University showed a dominant performance and came out victorious on Saturday afternoon with an 81-69 victory over Saint Elizabeth University. Marywood improves its record to 5-7 while Saint Elizabeth drops to 8-3.

In the exhilarating non-conference match-up, Marywood made it rain from all over the court, shooting a whopping 30-58 (51.7%) in total. This included a 4-15 (26.7%) clip from behind the arc, as well as going 17-23 (73.9%) from the charity stripe. 

Stephanie Klemick led the Pacers on offense, scoring a season high 21 points, on 8-12 (75%) shooting. Klemick was dominant from both mid-range and the paint all day, grabbing seven rebounds as well. 

Marywood out-rebounded St. Elizabeth 42-33 in the match. The Pacers were led by Mia Blume who tallied eight. Blume also contributed six assists and 12 points.  

The Eagles didn't fare quite as well from the floor, shooting 28-70 (40%) in total, 4-15 (26.7%) from three, and 9-17 (52.9%) from the free throw line. 

Saint Elizabeth was led offensively by Destiny Battle, who posted 30 points on the day. Mya Davis scored 20 points. 

Marywood received 14-point performances from Faith Kendricks and Colby White. White's 14 points set a new career high. Kendel Card tallied 11 points.

The Pacers will look to continue the winning streak on Friday, as they travel to Rosemont College.
