Neumann Notches Win Over Women's Basketball

Scranton, Pa. — With a strong start in the first quarter, Marywood University women's basketball dropped to Neumann University with a 63-60 loss Wednesday night. The Pacers fall to 12-8 overall and 2-6 in Atlantic East Conference play.

Sophomore Olivia Ciullo shined with 27 points and eight rebounds despite the loss. 

The Pacers had a five-point lead over the Knights with a score of 16-11 at the closing of the first quarter. SIx minutes into the second, Neumann was able to tie the score with a three pointer from Chelsea Keebler. 

Going into halftime, Neumann sat with a comfortable eight point lead over the Pacers. 

A late fourth quarter comeback allowed Marywood to lessen the lead but was unable to secure a win. 

Savannah Purdy finished with 11 points and three steals.

The Pacers travel to Cabrini University for a Saturday afternoon matchup.
