Men's Soccer Shut Out by Scranton

Scranton, Pa.— In a thrilling crosstown matchup, Marywood University fell to University of Scranton 3-0 in men's soccer on Wednesday after a dominate second half from the Royals.

After a scoreless first half, the Royals got on the board first in the 51st minute, thanks to a goal off the head of Ciaran Corr, assisted by a cross from Sean Quin. The header snuck into the bottom left corner of the goal.

In the 59th minute, Scranton pulled further ahead with their second goal. Quin found Matt Capretto on a breakaway, splitting the Marywood defense and burying the shot. It was Quin's second assist of the match.

The Royals continued their scoring in the 68th minute when Nick Addamo put the ball in the back of the net for the third Scranton goal of the night, assisted by Rob Pastrissi.

The Royals led the Pacers in both total shots (14-6), and shots on goal (5-0). Marywood failed to put a shot on goal.

The Pacers' keeper Alex Russo recorded two saves.

The Pacers are back in action on Saturday as they host Arcadia University at this 6 pm.
