Mulherin Joins 100 Point Club; Pacers Knock Down King's

Riley Mulherin becomes the fifth in program history to reach milestone

Scranton, Pa. — Senior Riley Mulherin became the fifth student-athlete to join the 100 Point Club in Marywood University women's soccer history. With an assist, Mulherin recorded an assist to lift the Pacers to a 2-0 victory over King's College. 

Sitting at 99 points, Mulherin assisted a Maura Kirkpatrick goal in the 86th minute. On a transition play, Mulherin set up Kirkpatrick for a sprint downfield. Kirkpatrick let go a 23-yard shot to the far left corner to take a two-goal lead. 

Mulherin has 41 goals and 17 assists in her career. 

In the 43rd minute, Marywood (8-3-1) took the lead on a corner kick opportunity. Josephine Sorce's corner met Carly Walters' head for a goal. 

It was Sorce's sixth assist of the season and 41st of her career. 

Playing for the first time since the 2010 season, Marywood leads 9-3 the all-time series. The Pacers have beaten the Monarchs four consecutive times. 

Jenna Orr made three saves in 45 minute. Orr and Genevieve Morrison combined for a clean sheet. King's keeper Courtney Monarh made five saves. 

In the 14th minute, Mia Menzzasalma made a team save to keep the game scoreless. The Monarchs' Karissa Colemade kicked a ball to the bottom left corner that was booted off the line by Menzzasalma. 

Marywood outshot King's by a 13-6 margin and a 7-4 differential in shots on goal. The Pacers edged the Monarchs 4-3 in corner kicks. 

The Pacers begin Atlantic East play on Saturday at Neumann University.
