Marywood Falls to Neumann in Atlantic East Semis

Aston, Pa. — Marywood University ended its volleyball season with a 3-0 loss to Neumann University Thursday in the Atlantic East Conference semifinal. The Pacers finish their season with an 8-20 overall record. 

Marywood falls in the Atlantic East semifinal for the sixth consecutive season. 

Neumann prevailed by scores of 25-15, 25-9, 25-8. 

Libby Smith led the Pacers with four kills. Bethany Burns had three kills. 

Defensively, Peyton Fischer had five digs. Both Jaedyn Laws and Libby Zick had three assists. 

Neumann (13-18) advances to the Atlantic East championship to take on Marymount University. 

The Knights' Nayeli Cruz finished with eight kills. Dani Smith had 34 assists and five aces. Hannah Strohm finished with 12 digs.
