Marywood Falls in Day Two of the Music City Classic

Pacers to start conference play Saturday

Nashville, Tenn. — Marywood University women's basketball wrapped up their trip to Nashville Monday evening. The Pacers faced Illinois College in their final day and fell to the Lady Blues, 80-60. 

Marywood now falls to 9-6 on the season with the loss.

The Pacers trailed 42-37 heading into halftime. 

Marywood would go on to score a total of 23 points in the second half, bowing out to the Lady Blues, 80-60. 

As a team, Marywood went 23-59 (39 percent) from the field, 6-27 (22.2 percent) beyond the arc, and 8-17 (47.1 percent) from the charity stripe. 

Olivia Ciullo led the team with 18 points and nine rebounds. 

Finley Bittenbender tallied 11 points while Mia Blume put up 10 points. 

Illinois College was 34-74 (45.9 percent) from the field, 4-22 (18.2 percent) from three-point range, and 8-16 (50.0 percent) from the line. 

The Lady Blues out-rebounded the Pacers, 49-36. 

The Pacers will start conference play Saturday with a game on the road against Neumann.
