Megotz Moves Up in the Record Books at Cornell

Ithaca, N.Y. - Marywood University freshman Abby Megotz moved to second in the school rankings in a pair of short-distance events this weekend at Cornell University. The Pacers track and field competed for the first time in two weeks.

Megotz finished in 14th place in the 400 with a time of 1:03.77. She raced to 17th place with a 27.62-second 200 dash run.

Nolan Kozera also moved up the school rankings list in two events. He came in 13th place with a 60 dash run of 7.19 seconds. In the 200, Kozera clocked in at 23.39 seconds for 11th place. Kozera is second and third, respectively, in the two events.

Tyler Hoysan moved into third in Marywood history in the 60 hurdles. Hoysan finished 14th overall with a time of 9.01 seconds.

Lany Straub was runner-up in the women's 5K. Straub took second with a run of 19:08.45. Gabby Snee was 17th place with a 21:52.12.

Marywood garnered three of the top five slots in the men's 5K race. Ben Devine (15:36.47), Joseph Cardillo (15:36.84), and Brandon Fleschut (15:48.63) came in third, fourth and fifth place.

Both Jocelyn Dames, Emma Wagner, and Paige Redman were 18th place in their races. Dames ran a 2:34.63 in the 800, and Redman finished in 5:28.09 in the mile. Wagner hit a 4.10 mark in the long jump.

Daelyn Karboski was 11th place in the triple jump, measuring 29 feet, 2 1/2 inches (8.9m).

Rosalyn Page came in fifth in the shot put with a throw of 41 feet, 4 1/4 inches (12.6m).
