Aston, Pa. - Sixth-seeded Marywood University finished its season with an 84-47 loss to No. 3 Neumann Monday in the Atlantic East Conference first round. The Knights advance to take on second-seeded Immaculata University.
The sole Marywood lead came in the first quarter when
Rachel McDonald netted a 3-pointer to put the Pacers up 8-7.
Marywood would carry a 41-22 deficit into the half.
As a team, the Pacers shot 17-64 (26.6%) from the floor. Marywood added a 3-14 (21.4%) clip from beyond the arc to pair with a 10-15 (66.7%) performance from the line.
Kendel Card was able to knock down 50% of her shots (4-8) to lead the Pacers with 12 points.
Although Marywood was out-rebounded 55-36, Card was able to grab six boards as well which led the team..
Mia Blume recorded a team-high four assists on the night.
The Knights used a 33-72 (45.8%) shooting performance to propel themselves to victory, outscoring the Pacers in each quarter.
Neumann was led offensively by Lauren Klieber who recorded 21 points on 9-17 (52.9%) shooting.
The Pacers wrap up the season with an overall record of 8-16.
