Men's Lacrosse Falls to Drew in Season Opener

Scranton, Pa. — Marywood University fell to Drew University 9-3 Saturday in the men's lacrosse season opener. It was the first time the Pacers and Rangers faced off in program history. 

Drew scored the first seven goals of the game. 

Marywood received goals from Jake Plokhoy, Nick Ericson and Aiden Kilkenny

Dillon Kane finished with a pair of assists. Kilkenny added an assist to his goal total.

Ericson totaled with 10 faceoff wins and nine ground balls. Nick Baker caused five turnovers. 

Colin Trainor caused three turnovers and picked up five ground balls. He made 11 saves on the day.

Drew outshot Marywood by a 33-30 margin. The Pacers committed 24 turnovers to the Rangers' 23. 

Marywood will host Wilkes University on Wednesday.
